The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) continues its pre-storm operations in advance of the winter weather predicted to move into the state on Friday, January 6, 2017.
The South Carolina Emergency Management Division asks residents to prepare themselves and their homes for possible winter weather. Forecasters with the National Weather Service expect a wintry mix of snow, ice and rain for much of the state beginning Friday evening and lasting through Saturday.

The Dillon County Council approved allowing the Interim County Administrator Rodney Berry execute an agreement with Marlboro Electric Cooperative in reference to Project Badger. Berry said there were no strings.
