Every year, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, members of First Presbyterian Church, in Dillon, pile into their cars with pies, canned goods, cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing, and a large turkey. These Thanksgiving meals are taken to many families in the Dillon area that are in need of assistance during the holiday season.
South Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company (SCFBMIC) recently contracted with Zane Bryant to serve as an agent in the Dillon office located at 307 W. Hampton St.
There has been increased interest in the J V Martin campus in recent weeks, lifting the spirits of Dillon Historic School Foundation members.

The Lake View Wild Gators varsity football team earned the right to host the Class A Lower State final on Friday, Dec. 9, after defeating C.E. Murray 19-0 on Friday, Dec. 2, in Lake View.
The Dillon Wildcats were shut out in the first half by the Timberland Wolves Friday evening. But after intermission, it was an entirely different game as the Cats reeled off 28 unanswered points in the third quarter on four straight touchdowns.
