The Dillon District Four School board approved the following personnel recommendations.
Dillon School District Four will conduct kindergarten registration for all students who will be four-years-old on or before September 1, 2019 or five-years-old on or before September 1, 2019.
The Daughters of the American Revolution awarded four high school seniors the Good Citizenship Award on March 12, 2019.
Congressman Tom Rice and the South Carolina Ports Authority hosted an educator summit in Dillon County recently with the theme, “Connecting South Carolina Students With Opportunity.”
Recently, the students at East Elementary held a food and supplies drive for the Dillon County Animal Shelter, and Mrs. Holli Strickland’s second grade class out-collected all the other classes at East Elementary.
Representatives from Northeastern Technical College’s administration and Area Board of Commissioners recently attended the Community College National Legislative Summit in Washington, DC to advocate for policies and funding that will move the college forward in the future.

The Palmetto State School Counselor Association PSSCA Annual Conference was held January 24 – 26, 2019 in Myrtle Beach, SC. The theme was “Lighting the Way to Student Success.”
