Members of the Dillon American Legion Post 32, its Auxiliary Unit 32, and other volunteers recently visited Dillon area cemeteries to put American flags on marked Veteran gravesites in remembrance of deceased Veterans and as part of Veterans Day community programs.
The Lunch Bunch Book Club at Dillon Middle School recently met in the school library to eat lunch and to discuss the featured book, The In-Between by Rebecca K.S. Ansari.
Rev. Doris B. Smith, Pastor of St. Mark Baptist Church in Bennettsville, SC, was recently elected as Moderator of the Berea Association of Marlboro and Dillon Counties, in South Carolina and Robeson County, in North Carolina, making her the first female to lead the association in its 135-year history.
Out of 173,882 candidates, the IB awarded 75,828 diplomas worldwide for the May 2022 session. On Friday, October 28, 2022, Latta High School held a presentation ceremony for Krish Patel, McLain Roberts, and Rainie Stroud to receive their International Baccalaureate Programme diplomas.
