The Dillon City Council approved a two-year lease agreement for the golf course at a recent meeting. Upon a motion by Councilman James Washington and a second by Councilman Douglas Jackson, the lease agreement was approved in a 5-1 vote.
Political campaigns are gearing up for the home stretch. The November election day is just around the corner and will be here before you know it.
While serving on the Senate Finance Committee I voted to approve the expenditure of $1.2 billion dollars of federal Coronavirus Relief money. I am proud that our plan includes funding to expand internet broadband in South Carolina.
Clay Young has been named the interim Dillon County Administrator.
It was a significant night in Dillon County as the Democratic primary run-offs set the stage for the general election in November with candidates who will make history should they win the general election in November.

Run-off elections in Dillon County Council District One, Dillon County Council District Three, and in the Sheriff’s race for the Democratic nomination are being held today (Tuesday). As of lunchtime, voter turnout was reported to be very light across the county.
