Gerome “Gee” McLeod won the General Election for the Dillon County Council District Six Seat. Turnout was low as McLeod was the only person on the ballot. No votes were cast in Little Rock.
The municipal golf course lease agreement was taken up again at the last regular meeting of the Dillon City Council.
U.S. Senator Tim Scott’s Investing in Opportunity Act (IIOA), an initiative Sen. Scott included in last year’s tax reform legislation (the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act), celebrated a big milestone on March 23, which marked the first deadline for the designation of ‘Opportunity Zones.’
