The City of Dillon Soccer season is underway. There are 13 teams with five age groups: 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, 8-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds, and 13-15 year olds. About 175 players from throughout Dillon County participate.

The Lake View High School Wild Gators hosted the Bears of Carvers Bay High School Friday night on Jewell McLaurin Field in a game that started fast for the Wild Gators and finished in nail biting excitement with the Lake View defense holding fast to secure a 20-16 win.
