Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators were shut out 10-0 by East Clarendon’s Wolverines in the first round of softball playoffs on Thursday, but swept Baptist Hill 19-0 in three innings on Saturday to stay alive in the tournament.
After falling to Bamberg-Ehrhardt 6-1 on Saturday, the Latta Vikings will host Hannah-Pamplico tonight to stay alive in the District V playoffs. Meanwhile, Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators shut out Baptist Hill 19-0 in three innings to stay alive in the Class A District VII playoffs, and will travel to face Allendale-Fairfax tonight at 5:00 p.m.
The Dillon girls softball team won 2-1 over Swansea in seven innings on Saturday afternoon.
Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators fell 5-3 to the Lady Flashes in Johnsonville on Monday, April 16.
The Wild Gators fell 6-5 to the visiting Mullins Auctioneers on Monday night in Lake View.
The first round of playoffs is over with both Dillon and Latta teams picking up wins, while the Lake View boys edged and Lady Gators fell to East Clarendon.
The Rangers, Reds, and Blue Jays all earned wins in Kiwanis Dixie Youth baseball on Thursday night.
Latta High School Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach Michael Rogers will be leaving the Vikings at the end of the season to become vice principal in another district.
Dillon High School’s head baseball coach Greg Dozier earned his 300th win on Tuesday, April 17, when the Wildcats defeated the visiting Aynor Blue Jackets 3-2.
