In partnership with the Dillon County Library, the McLeod Medical Center Dillon Volunteer Auxiliary’s “Grow with Books” Literacy Project stimulates an interest in reading at an early age.
As part of their annual Nurses Week celebration, McLeod Dillon nurses sponsored a food drive to support Love Feeds. Love Feeds is a program that strives to provide weekend meals to children who qualify. One in every five children eats their last meal of the day at school.
On Thursday, May 25, another Dillon High School athlete, Kendra McLeod, took the next step in her future by signing to play basketball with Voorhees College in Denmark, S.C.
Dillon County resident Lue Anna McLeod is passionate about helping children in need. As a volunteer advocate with the Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program, she and other volunteers provide a voice for abused or neglected children in the Family Court system.
