Chris McCoy of Dillon will be among 450 professional truck drivers from all 50 states who will compete in the National Truck Driving Championships in Columbus, Ohio from August 3-7.
McCoy, a driver for Fedex Freight based in Florence, will compete in the 5-Axle Sleeper Class.
McCoy won the state competition in his class earlier this year. He has been a truck driver for 15 years and has accumulated more than 2,000,000 accident free miles.
