In a release on March 2, the Board of Directors of Dillon Christian School announced that Coach Christian Wolfe has been appointed Athletic Director of Dillon Christian School.

After serving as a volunteer and football coach for the past eight years, Wolfe will be joining the school as a full-time staff member. Wolfe graduated from the University of North Carolina-Pembroke in 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. He and his wife, Marie, have two children attending DCS, Jackson and Ruthie Wolfe.

Wolfe will be working with current headmaster John Davis and the Board on key transition issues. His primary responsibilities will include serving as Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, and physical education teacher.

Wolfe was recommended for the position by the Athletic Committee of the Board and on February 21, the DCS Board unanimously voted to ratify the nomination. According to the release, “the unanimous vote by the Board reflects our confidence in Coach Wolfe’s ability to uphold and articulate the vision of the DCS Athletic program, as well as provide Christ-centered leadership to our student body.”

Coach Wolfe says he is thankful for the opportunity that the school has provided for him and his family. “I feel like God has been directing me toward this opportunity over the last few months, and I am looking forward to being a part of the continued success of Dillon Christian School.”

Wolfe is the third head coach at DCS in the past year. He took over coaching duties after Rodney Griggs was asked for his resignation in September. Griggs had taken over coaching responsibilities from Kelly Williamson earlier in the year.
