Alpha Pi Chi National Sorority South Carolina Council’s State Talent Competition was held recently in Moncks Corner, SC.
The local chapter, Alpha Alpha Chapter, was represented by three Dillon High School students: Mikeya Murphy, Amber Hayes, and Shakille Crawford.
Mikeya Murphy spellbound the audience with her rendition of “My Redeemer Lives,” and as a result, she was the winner of the contest. Amber Hayes danced flawlessly to the song, “I Look to You” by Whitney Houston, and she placed second in the competition.
Shakille Crawford’s talent presentation was a solo, “It’s In My Heart” which was performed magnificently.
The Torchlighter’s Program is a talent contest held annually on both the local and state levels. Local talent winners always represent county chapters on the state level. The program helps to develop talents of local community youth.
