Mrs. Gloria Jean Bullard Hatcher, 71, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Loris Community Hospital.
Mrs. Hatcher, a devoted Mom, was born November 10, 1940 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Edgar and Annie Buffkin Bullard. She had retired from Piggly Wiggly. Mrs. Hatcher was a member of Wannamaker Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Hatcher are: a Daughter: Tinna Brashear and her husband Rev. Shawn Brashear of Marion; a Son: Lester Thomas and his wife Susan of Little River; 4 Grandchildren: Amanda Smith, Kimberly Powell, Amy Brashear and Sarah Brashear; 5 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers: Edgar Bullard of Lake View, Roger Bullard of Nichols and Danny Bullard of Nichols; and 2 Sisters: Edna Hardee and her husband Bud of Marion and Ann Strickland and her husband Garland of Lake View.
Mrs. Hatcher was predeceased by a son, Marcell Thomas and a daughter, Maggie Thomas Powell.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 24 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Fairmont, N.C.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
