Services for Louise Hayes Simpson will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Dillon Second Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Simpson, 81, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, June 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Vernie Hayes and Alma McDonald Hayes. She was a member of Dillon Second Baptist Church, was a homemaker, an avid wrestling fan, and she had a wonderful sense of humor, and never complained.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Bailey of Dillon; son, Bryan (Mary Kay) Simpson of Florence; grandchildren, Amanda Bailey of Dillon, David (Cierra) Bailey of Hamer, Jessica Simpson Alford (Ryan) of Florence, Jason Simpson, and Jordan Simpson. both of Florence; great-grandchildren, Conner, Lee, Elijah, Ian, and Keaton; canine friends, Winnie & Junior.
Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her husband, James “Sonny” Simpson; daughter, Brenda Simpson; grandson, Justin Simpson, infant grandson, Steven Christopher Bailey; and her son-in-law, Harold Bailey; several brothers; and a sister.
