Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators have been having a bit of a rough season, but its players are still hopeful and working hard to improve.
Jasmine Ford led Lake View in the win with 22 points. Together with senior Britney Washington, Ford has been one of the key players for the Lady Wild Gators this season. The two have around 100 points combined so far this season.
Ford also led the Lady Wild Gators in a recent loss to Carvers Bay on Tuesday, January 3. The Bears defeated Lake View 52-39 in that encounter. Ford scored 16 points for Lake View against the Bears, with Tranya Ford earning nine, Pam Butler scoring four, and Washington earning three.
Washington led Lake View in scoring in Friday’s game against Latta, earning a team-high six points in the low scoring game. Ford added five points in the loss.
Looking ahead at region play, Lake View will be taking on Creek Bridge on Friday followed by Hemingway on Tuesday, January 17. The Warriors have a 2-6 record and are 0-2 in region play. The Tigers, on the other hand, are undefeated in the region, with an 8-3 overall record.
