First Bank has donated $2,500 to Healthy Learners, a non-profit organization providing access to health care for uninsured and underinsured students across South Carolina.
“Healthy Learners is a program making real strides in its mission to provide children with health care services that lead to success in the classroom,” said First Bank Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Charlie Vance.
“First Bank is pleased to make this annual donation to Healthy Learners to help support the continuing development of this outstanding program.”
Since 2006, First Bank has made this annual contribution. The donations are part of a $10,000 pledge made to Healthy Learners.
Healthy Learners currently has programs serving 144 schools in nine South Carolina school districts.
Healthy Learners services include vision care, dental care, hearing evaluations, assistance with prescription medications, clinical counseling and episodic care for other health concerns.
