Dillon District Four is using $138,625 in School Improvement Funds to implement iPads into some of the classrooms.
Dr. Alice Grice said that they see the money as an opportunity to purchase the iPads, and they will purchase as many as the money will allow.
Plans are at first to make them part of a rolling lab which will consist of 30 iPads, a charger cart and a laptop.
The plan for the future would be to eventually have iPads available for all grades.
No final decision has been made as to which grades will get the iPads that are initially purchased, according to District Four Superintendent Ray Rogers.
