Services for Kenneth Melvin Blackmon will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pyerian Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is 6 – 8 P.M. Monday in the funeral home.
Mr. Blackmon 56, died Saturday March 24, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Marion County, March 22, 1956, he was the son of the late Melvin Lester Blackmon and Ida Mae Jackson Blackmon. He was a plumber.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Lindsay Blackmon of Dillon; sons, Kenny Blackmon Jr. of Tennessee and Seth Blackmon of Dillon; step daughter, Dottie Grainger of Georgia; step son, Ralph Schwatka of Dillon; sisters, Mary Ellen Tunstall of Myrtle Beach and Angela Phillips of Wake Forest, N.C.; 4 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; special friend, Shelby Hardee.
