G. Houston Page, 77, of Wilmington, went to be with his Father in Heaven, on Friday, April 6, 2012.
He was born November 8, 1934, in Lake View, SC, to the late James Gary and Christine Page.
Houston was a Deacon and head usher at Wrighsboro Baptist Church. He loved his church and took pride in the number of his grandchildren who are active there. He enjoyed spending time with his family and caring for his dogs and cats.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn P. Sawyer and Lois P. Walls and a great-grandchild, Leah Kiley.
Survivors include his wife, of 34 years, Sarah Page; five children, Toni Burton, Julie Brandy, Brian Merritt, Amy White and Cathy Wang; nine grandchildren, Jessica Bagwell, Jimmy Wilson, Kyle Wang, Kiah Wang, Matthew Merritt, Christopher Merritt, Felicity White, Alexander White and Kayleigh Lovan; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Grimm, Sidney Bagwell, Elizabeth Graben, Emily Wilson and Dylan Wilson and ten siblings; Oliver Page, Bobbie Jean Ashley, Doris P. McLean, Grace P. Durden, Jerry W. Page, Alice P. Henry, Michael R. Page, Nancy P. Huggins, Patricia Dulin and Deborah Carter
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Wrightsboro Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Lewis officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
