Margaret Elizabeth (Wagner) Griffey died September 4, 2012 at the Mullins Nursing Center. Born November 26, 1916 in Cumberland, Maryland. She was one of 8 children of Peter and Margaret Wagner. She was preceded in death by her siblings and husband, H. Linwood Griffey. She is survived by her sons, Russell, Michael (Patty), Terry (Charlotte) four grandchildren and one great grand child.
She graduated from Allegheny High School in 1934. She was a housewife and mother until moving to Homestead, Florida with her family in 1963 where she worked for 20 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper. An avid fisherman she loved boating and the Florida Keys. She was a member of the Ellerslie and Homestead United Methodist Churches.
She and her husband moved to Latta, SC in 1998 to be with their sons and their families.
