Dillon’s Lady Wildcats traveled to Waccamaw on Tuesday night and returned home with a 67-28 win over the Lady Warriors.
The Wildcats took a 10-4 lead in the first and outscored Waccamaw 14-6 in the second to lead 24-14 at the half. Dillon widened the lead with a 17-10 third quarter and sealed the win with a 26-18 fourth.
Khamele Manning led Dillon with a game-high 14 points and Tyshanna Lester added 10 in the win. Lester also picked up a team-high 12 rebounds. Nakedra Page scored eight for the Lady Wildcats and Brianna Lee added seven.
Mary Tyler led Waccamaw with a team-high seven points.
Dillon is now 11-7 overall for the season and 4-1 in Region 8-2A.
On Friday, Dillon will be at home to host Aynor with varsity action beginning at 6:00 p.m. Dillon defeated Aynor 42-23 in their first encounter this season.
Then on Tuesday, January 29, the Wildcats will travel to Mullins to take on the Lady Auctioneers. Dillon lost their first meeting 47-26. This week’s South Carolina Basketball Coaches poll ranked Mullins as the number one girls team in Class 2A.
On Friday, February 1, Dillon will be back home to host Marion in the first of three home games that will close out the season. Game times are at 6:00 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local teams!
