Eva Mae Lane Altman, 95, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m.. Monday in East Dillon Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, September 14, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Lane and Jimmie Kathryn Bridges Lane. She was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church, was retired from B.C. Moore’s after 35 years of service, and was the widow of the late Jessie Floyd Altman.
Survivors include her daughters, Doris Gloria “Mickie” Johnson of Lake View, Marilyn (David) Moore of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Anna Kathryn (Bob) Reid of Latta; sons, Charles (Phyllis) Lane, Billy (Rhonda) Altman, and Bobby (Debbie) Altman, all of Dillon; daughter-in-law, Faye Altman of Latta; brothers, Roy Lane of Fork, and Ed Lane of Hamer; sister, Hazel Floyd of Florence; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Altman was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Floyd Altman; son, Buddy Altman; grandson, Philip Lane; and brothers, Hovie Lane and Howard Lane.
