Graveside services for Izell “Sonny” Hunt were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Little Bless Holiness Church Cemetery with visitation following the service directed by Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Hunt, 64, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, March 21, 1949, he was the son of the late Carvie and Nellie Hunt.  He was retired from Mohawk’s Oak River Plant after 43 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Hatcher of Bennettsville; daughter, Doris Hargrove of Latta; step-son, Steve Hatcher of Bennettsville; step-daughter, Marie McCall of Laurinburg; brothers, H.B. Hunt, Carvie Hunt, Jr., Vernon Hunt, and Johnny Hunt; sisters, Clercy Campbell, Madge Hunt and Jeannette Hurst; 6 grandchildren. Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Turner and Virgie Clark.
