William Henwood Benton, Jr., 88, died at the Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, SC, Thursday, December 19, 2013. Funeral serviceswereheld 3:00 p.m.., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Kannaday Funerasl Home Chapel in Dillon, SC. Visitationws held  Friday, December 20, 2013 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Benton was born November 29, 1925 the son of the late William Henwood and Bessie Mae Rogers Benton. He was the widower of Lillian Ellis Benton. He retired as a self employed store owner and farmer. He was a member of Mount Andrew United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah B. Spinks (Randy) of High Point, NC and Jewell Benton of Floyd Dale, SC; brother Harold Benton of Pismo, CA; sister, Iratine Henry of Latta, SC; and grandchildren Zachary, Joshua, and Caitlin Spinks all of High Point, NC.
