Clarence Rutledge Dennis, 71, died Monday, January 20, 2014, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.  
Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Florence County, SC, December 19, 1942, he was the son of the late Wilbur James Dennis and Creola Campbell Dennis.  
He attended Servants Heart Ministry, and retired from car upholstery.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Dennis of Dillon; sons, Danny (Lisa) Caulder of Dillon and Bryan Dennis of Lake City; daughter, Madelyn Dennis (Phil) Hanna of Lake City; sisters, Earline (Basil) Lewis of Hemingway and Violet Poston of Pamplico; brothers, Alton (Gloria) Dennis of Scranton and Larry (Dianne) Dennis of Lake City; 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, W.J. Dennis of Sumter.
