Services for Mildred G. Bannister will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Marion County, May 30, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Chalmers McColl Stalvey and Beady Elizabeth Smith Stalvey. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dillon, and was a retired Bookkeeper at the Dillon Tractor and Implement Company. She was the widow of the late James G. Bannister.
Survivors include her son, Gene H. Godbold (Jan) of Winter Park, FL; daughter, Doris Ann Best (Bob) of Signal Mountain, TN; 4 grandchildren, Lori Byrd of Winter Park, FL, Scott Godbold (Shona) of Lake Mary, FL, and Stephanie Godbold of Asheville, NC and Allison Tutera (Dominic) of Palo Alto, CA; 10 great-grandchildren.
