Wilbur Carl Owens, 76, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Thorne Retirement Home.
Funeral services were  held 4:00  p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 31, 1937, he was the son of the late Jessie Owens and Swanie Bryant Owens.  He was a veteran of the SC Army National Guard, and was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include his sons, Phillip (Patricia) Owens of Latta, Carl A. (Susie) Owens, and Ronald Rex Owens both of Dillon; grandchildren, Tabitha Owens, Wesley Owens, Corey Owens, Dustin Owens, and Adam Owens; 1 great-grandchild, Kenly Owens; brother, Manie Owens of Jacksonville, NC.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda W. Owens; and his brother, James Owens.
