Mr. Delane “Cooter” Flowers, 75, died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at his home in Lake View, SC after an illness.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Kemper Baptist Church, Lake View, SC.  Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery directed by Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.  The family received friends Monday, June 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Flowers was born in Robeson County, the son of the late Calvin and Sadie Faulk Flowers.  He was a long time member of Kemper Baptist Church.  He retired from Carmichael Gas & Oil Co., where he worked for 50 years as a service technician.
Mr. Flowers is survived by his wife, Nellie Miller Flowers; one daughter, Michelle Britt (Tony);  one granddaughter, Maddy Britt; brothers, Edwyn Flowers (Sandra), Gene Flowers (Frances), and Jimmy Flowers (Darnell); sisters, Shirley Campbell (Heath) and Lucille Rouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kemper Baptist Church, Lake View, SC.
