Services for Mary Edna Turbeville was held Sunday at 3:00 p.m.. in Dillon First Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.   Visitation was 2:00 p.m. until 3:00  p.m.  prior to the service.
Mrs. Turbeville, 92, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at McLeod Medical Center Dillon. Born in Laurinburg, N.C., March 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John Alfred Bracey and Carrie Belle Schofield Bracey.  She was a member of Dillon First Baptist Church, taught the 3 year old sunday school class, member of WMU, Flower Ministry, Tape Ministry, member of the choir, hospital auxilllary, and Dillon Pilot Club.  She retired from CP and L after 28 years of service.
Survivors include her step daughters, Kitty Baxley and Annelle Covington of Dillon; half sister, Carrie Chait of Ft. Lauderdale , Florida; 6 grandchildren, Steve Baxley (Pam), Tony Baxley (Laura), Jennifer Lamson (Loren), Debbie Baxley, Don Covington (Stephanie), and Suzie Goodwin (Stanley); 12 great grandchildlren; sister in law, Mrs. John A. Bracey (Wilhelmina) of Elkins, N.C.
Mrs. Turbeville was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Turbeville; step-son, Larry “Buddy” Turbeville; and a brother, John A. Bracey.
