Services for Vivian Virginia Ivey Watts Matson were held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Holiness Church of Gaddy’s Mill with burial in Devotion Gardens in Mullins. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Matson, 70, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, January 28, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lester Ivey and Edna Elloria Tarte Ivey. She was a retired textile worker and homemaker. She was the widow of the late LeRoy Matson.
Survivors include her children, Darlene Watts Carnes (Richard) of Dillon and Connie Dean Watts (Susie) of Marion; special daughter-in-law, Denise Watts of Dillon; grandchildren, Laura Watts, Brittany Watts, and Rick Carnes, all of Dillon, Brenda Chavis, April Chavis, and Nick Chavis, all of Marion, and Maya McLellan of Marion; great-grandchildren, Logan Hunt, Jack Horne, Makayla Watts, Riley Prince, Akria Prince, Lillie Prince, Lexie Williams, Elyzha Brantley, and Jaleel Timmons; brothers, Billy Ivey, Jimmy Ivey, and Major Ivey, all of Thomasville, NC, Johnson Ivey and Marion Ivey, both of Dillon; sister, Barbara Hunt of Dillon; and special niece, Frances Jackson
