Services for Kelly Herring, Sr. will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
     Mr. Herring, 82, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
     Born in Dillon County, SC, May 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Derrick Herring and Carrie Elizabeth Purvis Herring.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
     Survivors include his children, Cynthia Diane Carr of Iowa, Carrie Elizabeth Herring of Sarasota, FL, Kelly Herring, Jr. of Flowery Branch, GA, and Charles Leland Herring of Waterbury, CT; several grandchildren.
