Mrs. Christine Shelley McKenzie died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at her home in Lake View, SC after an illness.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 11:00 am at Union United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Regan Cemetery.  The family received friends Monday, September 15, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.
Mrs. McKenzie was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Starr and Essie Clark McKenzie, Sr.  She was a faithful member of Union United Methodist Church. Mrs. McKenzie will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the community.
Mrs. McKenzie is survived by her son, Justin McKenzie (Sheila) of Lake View; daughters, Frances Yarborough of Lake View and Libby Stanford of Little River; sisters Barbara Jean Allen (Carrol) and Betty Doris Shelley; daughter in law, Emily Shelley; grandchildren, Shelley McClintic (Matt), Justin Keith McKenzie (Erin) and Samantha McKenzie.
Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by her husband, Rembert McKenzie, and brother, Starr Shelley, Jr.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Regency Hospice for their dedicated and caring staff, and to a special caregiver, Mrs. Lena Evans.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union United Methodist Church and/or Regency Hospice.
