Services for Gerald Dean “Red” Davis will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Open Door Community Church with burial in Hayestown Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Davis, 64, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Mullins, SC, February 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Henry Norman Davis and Willie Mae Medlin Davis. He was a member of Open Door Community Church, and was formerly employed by Anvil Knitwear, and The Dillon Company.
Survivors include his wife, Edie Gail Davis of Dillon; sons, Gary Dean Davis and James Gerald Davis, both of Dillon; daughter, Patricia Gail Davis Butler (Johnny) of Oak Grove; grandchildren, Tiffany Davis, Mikalen Coon, Dalamarius Coon, Sage Coon, and James Henry Davis; brothers, Norman Davis and Jimmy Davis, both of Dillon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O. Box 111, Dillon, SC 29536.
