Have you ever wondered where I can get books for my kindle and nook for free?
Well we have your answer your local library.
The Dillon County Library system offers you an option of going online to our digital e-book website and downloading books. How do I do this you ask? Well you first must have a valid library card in good standing with the library, and a 4 digit pin code that you gave when you applied for your card.
If you do not remember your pin or you do not believe you have one just call (843-774-0330) and we can reset or set up your pin.
Once you are ready you can log onto our website at www.dillon.lib.sc.us and scroll to the bottom of the page you will see a link that says digital e-books click on the link at start your trip into the wonderful world of free e-books.
Once you get to the page you need to click on sign in and put in your library card number and pin. You will then be able to search through thousands of titles in our catalog.
You don’t see what you want well contact your library and suggest books to be added. Once you find the one you want click on it, and download (it may prompt you to download software) the book will go straight to your computer or device.
You have a two week check out period for your e-books, and you can check out up to five books.
After two weeks the book with disappear off your device, and you will have to check it out again if you are not finished. Please take advantage of this free service.
