Recently, the Col. E.T. Stackhouse Camp 1576 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans hosted the annual cemetery cleanup challenge. This is a statewide challenge and is broken up into 10 Brigades. The Stackhouse Camp had help from seven other camps of the 7th Brigade, with a total of 50 members, all helping to clean this cemetery. The cemetery is located on Stateline Road and is on about a one acre of land. There are over 100 Graves in this cemetery 18 of which are confirmed Confederate Veterans. Of these 18 Veterans, 14 were Privates, one was a Sergeant, one was Corporal, one was a Captain and one was a Sailor. At the end of the day, a memorial service was given for the veterans.
