Services for Charles Edward Phillips were held Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 4:00 P.M. in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation was from 3 until 4 prior to the service.
Mr. Phillips, 72, died Wednesday in the Commander Nursing Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, April 6, 1942, he was the son of the late Junior Phillips and Virgie McGrady Phillips.  
He was retired from International Paper Company.
Survivors include his daughter, Jacqueline Phillips Corney  of Dillon; son, Charles Lee Phillips of Dillon; sisters, Patricia Ross of Florence, Carolyn Holbert of Sumter, and Yvonne (Glen) Melton of Dublin, GA.;neices, Tammy (Tony) Hargrove of Dillon and Tiffany Ray of Latta; great nephews, Levi and Wade Kale of Dillon and Dalton Ray of Latta.
Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde J. Phillips and sisters, Rebecca Pope and Anne Epperson.
