On Saturday, February 28,  the Lake View High School Academic Challenge Team claimed the Pee Dee Region Championship held on the campus Francis Marion University, posting a perfect 6-0 record for the day. In the preliminary rounds, the team defeated Hemingway 22-4, Lamar 20-7, Hannah Pamplico 17-6, Latta 21-5, and Johnsonville 20-9. The team faced Johnsonville a second time in the Championship game with an outcome of 27-21, qualifying them to compete in state competition on March 19 at Winthrop University.  LVHS Academic Challenge Team members pictured are: (Front Row  l to r) Noah Pace, Staci Humphrey, Savannah Evans.
