The Latta Schools Educational Foundation will present “More Short Stories and Tall Tales about Dillon County” at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. This event will take place at the Ellis Performing Arts Center in Latta.
Storytellers performing live on stage will be Judge James E. Lockemy; Attorney A. LaFon LeGette, Jr.; Elder and Funeral Director, Kevin Thomas; Freelance Writer, Carley Wiggins; and De Shootinest Gent’man, Mike Thomas.
Webster’s Dictionary defines “storyteller” as “a teller of stories: as (a) a relater of anecdotes (b) a reciter of tales (c) Liar, Fibber(d)writer of stories.” For what promises to be an entertaining evening and to find out which Webster’s definition fits whom , come prepared to cry a little, laugh a lot, and possibly protect yourself and your name.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the storytelling will begin at 7:00 p.m.
There will be no charge for the event.
