Services for W. B. Gist will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Gist, 78, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, August 2, 1936, he was the son of the late W.B. Gist, Sr. and Annie Mae Hunt Gist. He was retired from Dillon Tractor & Implement Co., Inc. after 25 years of service.
Survivors include his companion, Ann Rodgers of Dillon; step-children, Carla Ann Haselden, Kimberly (Kelly) Monahan, both of Dillon, Stephanie Lynn Sweat of Nashville, TN, and Jeannie Hunt (Earl, Jr.) of Dillon; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Berry (John D.), Louise Hunt (Earl, Sr.), and Nettie Mae Hunt, all of Dillon; brother, Allen Gist of Sanford, FL.
Mr. Gist was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Gist; and his granddaughter, Angel Britt.
