The Dillon Middle School Chorus under the direction of Mr. Joshua Fleetwood participated in the 40th annual Carowinds Festival of Music on April 15. They performed two songs entitled “Singabahambayo” and “Cangoma”. They were judged based upon vocal tone, presentation, formation,discipline, and other musical concepts. The judging was carried out by 4 nationally renown vocal adjudicators and choral instructors. The DMS Chorus received a rating of SUPERIOR which is the highest rating possible. Chorus members are: Reyana Arnette, Christina Bethea, Saheed Bethea, Michaela Bryant, Jalen Chatman, Jamia Davis, Malaysia Davis, Lashanti Dixon, Marie Dunkunde, Vodeja Evans, Tykaijah Floyd, Shaquella Ford, Maria Gomez, Joshua Gordon, Anasha Graves, Ashley Graves, Keshawn Greer, Bethany Hunt, Caleb Hunt, Destiny Jacobs, Fyquasia Leach, Tynashia Lewis, India Lockemy, Yasriyyah Manning, Alacya McDuffie, Jaasia McRae, Amiya Mearite, Ashlyn Miller, Shamiah Moultrie, Riziki Nizimana, Haley Perritt, Imani Rogers, Jahaira Rogers, Marie Rozine, Akayla Samuel, Lakiya Taylor, Danasha Townsend, Aaliyah Turbeville, Cherish Washington, Nyasia Washington, Tiffany Forbes Watson, Andreyah Welborn, Xoyvor Wheeler, and Jamiah Williamson.
