Communities for Students of Dillon County held their annual scholarship fundraiser on Thursday, May 12, at Abingdon Manor. Business sponsors and individual sponsors enjoyed an array of food as they mingled with board members of the organization and learned more about the scholarship program which they support.
In 2015, the name was changed from Communities in Schools of Dillon County to Communities for Students of Dillon County. The Scholarship Program will continue under this name.
Scholarships are awarded to two seniors from Dillon, Lake View, and Latta. Francis Marion University matches these scholarships, thereby giving students more financial support.
