LATTA – Geneva Venters Haselden, 94, died, August 30, 2016, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Latta Baptist Church with interment at 2:00 p.m. in New Hope Cemetery, Possum Fork Road, Johnsonville, SC. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Haselden was born in Johnsonville,  on January 12, 1922. She is the daughter of the late James Fluit and Eliza Marsh Venters.  
Mrs. Geneva was a supervisor at Dillon Manufacturing and Old School Sportswear and was a well-known seamstress in her small town, Latta, SC.
Mrs. Haselden served her church, Latta Baptist Church since 1955.     
Mrs. Geneva is the widow of Jervis Earl Haselden.
She is survived by her son, Jervis “Jerry” Earl Haselden, Jr. (Jennie) of Darlington, SC; her daughter, Gwen Carroll; her five grandchildren, and her ten great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her four brothers and her one sister.
