Robert Douglas (Rob) Miller, Sr., born in Dillon, April 24, 1924, died peacefully at Pruitt Health, Dillon, September 12, 2016.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse C. and Hannah Horne Miller; and siblings, Braxton Miller (Lula Mae), Lake View; Frazier G. Miller (Ruth), Dillon; Joe Miller (Hazel), Dillon; William Miller (Pat), Lake View; Eunice Rogers (Hensley), Lake View; Mildred Huggins (Robert), Texas; Eugenia Blackwell (Paul), Hartsville; Geraldine Miller; wife, Hattie Hester, Dillon; and daughter, Wanda Collins (Glenn), Smithfield, N.C.; wife, Patricia Daniels; son, Michael Hunter.
Surviving are his children, Dianne Gibson (Tom), Cheraw; Robert Douglas Miller, Jr. (Debbie), Dillon; Robbie Miller, Newburg, NY; Sandra Miller (Dale), Nichols; Venda Muller, Fishkill, NY; Billie Kay Lukacs, Poughkeepsie, NY; Danny Hunter, Indian Trail, NC; Joe Hunter (Robin), Indian Trail, NC; 15 grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Mr. Miller was a longtime farmer in Dillon County.
Visitation is 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cooke Funeral Home, with a private burial Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, Dillon.
