Eva Victorine “Vickie” Byrd Lewis, 52, died Saturday, October 1, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services were  held Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Latta Church of God with interment in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation was on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Dillon County, South Carolina, November 12, 1963, the daughter of Virginia Grice Byrd Sweatt and the late Lloyd Bryan Byrd. She was a member of Latta Church of God and retired from Quality Apparel.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Don Lewis of the home; mother, Virginia Grice Byrd Sweatt of Dillon, SC; son, Danny L. McDowell (Christonya) of Latta, SC; daughter, Roxann Locklear (Tommy), step-sons, Donovan Lewis, and Dylan Lewis, step-daughters, Brianna Hunt, Leslie Lewis, and Heather Chavis; brothers, Elvis Byrd (Janet) of Johnsonville, SC, Dan Byrd of Latta, SC, Gary Byrd (Diane) of Latta, SC, Grady Byrd (Kathy) of Simpsonville, SC, Kenneth Byrd (Tammy) of Conway, SC, Timothy Byrd of Marion, SC; sisters, Christy Byrd of Dillon, SC, , Mary Thompson of Marion, SC; grandchildren, Pamela McDowell, Courtney McDowell, Alexis McDowell, Danny (Lil’ D) McDowell, Tamara Locklear, and Nicholas Locklear; and step-grandchildren, Kiara Chavis, Christopher Graham, Kayleigh Deal, Jayla Deal, Brandon Deal, Dylan Lewis, Jr., Dylanie Lewis, Shaniya Locklear, Jazalynn Locklear, and Malin Lewis.
