Services for Joann Dean Callahan will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Little Rock Baptist Church with burial in Huggins Family Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Callahan, 74, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, December 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Dean and Aline Huggins Dean. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church, and was the widow of James Leroy Callahan.
Survivors include her children, Debbie Callahan , Deana (Benny) Rouse, both of Dillon, Greg (Sandra) Callahan of Hamer, and Sharon (Wayne) Lewis of Latta; grandchildren, Jamie Callahan, Shane Lewis, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Lane, Ryan Rouse, Duncan Callahan, Kerri Rouse, Callie Lewis, and Amanda Rouse; great-granddaughter, Blakely Brooke Lane; brother, Russell (Helen) Dean of Laurens, SC.
Memorials may be made to the Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O. Box 111, Dillon, SC 29536 or to the McLeod Hospice, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
Mrs. Callahan was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Callahan; her brother, Ronald Dean; and her sister, Judy Dean.
