Sidney Joe Polston, 32, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his residence.
Born February 23, 1984 in Murphy, NC, he was married to Samantha Jenise Jones Polston. Sidney worked as an inspector with WIX filters in Dillon. He was of the Holiness Faith. Sidney enjoyed fishing, going to races (especially drag racing), South Carolina Gamecocks, Chevrolet trucks, shooting pool, cooking, playing the guitar, and playing with his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his Papa, Joe Hayes Polston; sisters, Joann Freeman and Mary L. Berry, and infant brother Richard Polston, and nephew Jennings Freeman.
Surviving are his wife, Samantha Jones Polston; father, Sid Polston and step-mother Lane of Tatum; mother, Addie Mae Polston of Bennettsville; father and mother-in- law, Larry and Nancy Jones of Dillon; daughter, Miranda Bethea and husband Steven of Dillon; brothers, Henry Polston of Bennettsville, Jerry Polston and wife Brenda of Bennettsville, Donnie Polston and wife Audra of Robbinsville, NC, Joe Lane Polston and wife Terri of Blenheim, Larry Polston of Wallace, Brian Crisp of Robbinsville, NC, Justin Lynn Polston of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Billie Sue Campbell of Cheraw, Eunice Polston of Bennettsville, Sara Radford and husband Donald of McColl, Sandy Redbrook and husband Jay of McColl, Lisa Polston of Wallace, Dusty Polston of Robbinsville, NC, Mae Elizabeth Polston of Arizona; grandson, William Bethea; special brother, John  Redbrook, V and wife Nicole of Ghio, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Blenheim Church of God, officiated by the Rev. Gerald McDowell, with burial to follow in Polston Family Cemetery in Blenheim. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Burroughs & Cooper Funeral Home in Bennettsville.
