Mrs. Mary Murray, 98, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home in Cerro Gordo, NC after an illness.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View, with interment following at Lake View Perpetual Cemetery.  The family received friends Monday, January 9, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.
Mrs. Murray was born in Robeson County, the daughter of the late Pete and Cora Bass Gray.  
Mrs. Murray is survived by her sons, Jack Murray of Lumberton and Horace Murray (Teresa) of Lake View; daughters Betty Strickland of Cerro Gordo, Katie Johnson (Boyd) of Mullins, and Ernestine Strickland (Andy) of Nichols; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Murray; two grandsons, a granddaughter, and a great granddaughter.
