A person was killed after the 2020 Jeep SUV the person was a passenger in struck a log truck. The incident occurred on December 28 at about 6:20 p.m. at S.C. Highway 38 near Camp Road, two miles south of Latta, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. The log truck was disabled at the time of the incident. At press time, the name of the victim had not yet been released.
