…And Beyond: Dog Days

So far, this summer is redefining and extending the term “dog days”–at least 10 days in June with temps over 90 and more than that already in July. What better excuse to break out of my blogger’s doldrums as long as the AC around my computer is working. Our shallow well water supply went on the blink two hours after we got home Friday from a happy week with the kids and grand kids.

Latta FFA Team Headed To National Finals

Latta FFA members Sarah Lane, Caleb Coleman, Kristen Herring and Doug Bowman will represent South Carolina in the National FFA Farm Business Management Finals to be held during the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, in October, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

Topping Out Of McLeod ER Celebrated

The steel frame for the McLeod Dillon Emergency Department (ED) has reached the top. To celebrate this milestone, a Topping Out Celebration was held at McLeod Dillon on July 20, 2010. During the event, a steel beam signed by employees, Medical Staff members, Volunteers, and Community Advisory Board members was placed in the frame.
