The Yellow Jessamine Garden Club observed National Garden Club Week June 4-10, 2017, by placing a beautiful arrangement of flowers at The Dillon County Chamber of Commerce.
The first week in June, beginning with Sunday, is proclaimed “NATIONAL GARDEN WEEK.”
The Dillon County Council for the Aging held their annual meeting on May 16th. Executive Director Joni Spivey called the meeting to order welcoming everyone to the annual meeting.
Fourteen Rebecca Pickens Chapter members of the DAR met at the Dillon Wellness Center on May 9, 2017, before taking a break for the summer and resuming their meeting in September.
Help For Veterans, Inc., met on May 18, 2017. Chairman Johnnie Daniels opened the meeting with prayer.
Members of The Dillon Garden Club celebrated the end of their program year with a trip to Moore Farms Botanical Garden in Lake City.
The Pilot Club of Dillon met on Thursday, May 25, 2017 @ 6:30 pm at the new residence of Chris Harris.

Help For Veterans, a newly formed veterans group, passed out free underwear, socks, and toiletries to veterans at the Memorial Day ceremony at the Dillon City-County Complex on Monday.
